The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. David Newby will be performing on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Country Oaks Baptist Church beginning at 4:00 pm. Doors open at 3:30.
The program will begin with Aaron Coplanda’s Fanfare for the Common Man and continue with fiddler/violinist, Jana Jae, joining the symphony to perform traditional fiddle music of various genres – old time, bluegrass, gypsy, celtic, and more.
After the intermission, TSO will end the concert with Antonin Dvoraka’s Symphony No. 9, the New World Symphony. This concert is sponsored in part by a grant from the Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation. Audience members may meet directors, soloist, and musicians during the reception following the concert.
