MOAH offers a range of sensory-friendly resources and services for neurodivergent guests.

Before visiting, guests can access a social narrative on MOAH’s website provides a first-person description of the museum experience.

During special open hours, lighting is dimmed, and audio components are lowered.

Guests receive a sensory-friendly map highlighting areas with changes in light and noise, as well as locations of hands-on activities.

A take-a-break space provides a quiet area with calming tools.

Speech cards assist non-verbal visitors.

Optional programming includes a self-guided multi-sensory tour with stations focusing on single artworks and providing objects to enhance the sensory experience.

A hands-on art activity in the MOAH classroom adapts to various sensitivities, age groups, and abilities, with finished projects often serving as calming tools for exploring the museum.
