Palmdale’s Senior Resource Fair Brings Valuable Services Together
PALMDALE, CA – The City of Palmdale is inviting active adults 55+ to its annual Senior Resource Fair on Wednesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Legacy Commons, located at 930 E. Ave. Q-9. Whether you’re looking for a new fitness class, need help navigating housing options or just want to see what’s out there, this event is for you. Exhibitors will be ready to answer questions and connect residents with services that can make life easier.
This free fair brings health and wellness providers, housing specialists, recreation groups and transportation services under one roof. Attendees can browse at their own pace, talk with experts and learn useful information.
“Accessing the right information promptly can help improve the lives of our seniors. It shouldn’t take dozens of phone calls to learn where to start, and we’re doing our part to make it easy,” said Mayor Eric Ohlsen. “We’re fortunate to have so many organizations that show up year after year because they genuinely want to help Palmdale’s seniors. In just two hours, you can talk to the people who run these programs, get all your questions answered and walk away knowing exactly what’s best for you.”
Friends, family members and caregivers are all welcome at the event to learn everything that our community has to offer. Plus, everyone has a chance to win some amazing door prizes.
“Palmdale has built strong partnerships with organizations throughout the Antelope Valley, and this fair puts those relationships to work for our residents,” said Mayor Pro Tem Austin Bishop. “Whether someone wants assistance with Dial-A-Ride services, needs help getting food from SAVES or is ready to join the many recreation opportunities at Legacy Commons, they’ll find support that addresses real needs here.”
