Carnes and James Ingram which became his first number one as a writer.
He remains the only male artist whose first seven singles reached the Top 5 on the Billboard charts, including “Don’t Mean Nothing”, “Should’ve Known Better”, “Endless
Summer Nights”, “Hold On to the Night”, “Satisfied” and “Right Here Waiting”. Overall, Marx has scored fourteen number one singles both as a performer and as a songwriter/producer.
Recently he released his unique and ambitious new album, simply and appropriately titled Songwriter.
