Donated to the State by farmer Arthur “Archie” Ripley in 1988, Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland provides a haven to an impressive stand of the valley’s once-abundant native Joshuas and junipers. The woodland reserve can be found seven miles west of the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve.
