Academy Award-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton brings The Boxmasters to the Lancaster Performing Art Center as part of their “Light Rays“ tour. Founded by Thornton and J.D. Andrew in 2007, The Boxmasters have logged a remarkable and diverse catalogue including ten albums reflecting their love of a wide array of inspirations, most prominently the rock and roll of the 1960s. The Boxmasters’ original music not only includes odes to the Beatles, Byrds and Beach Boys, but also The Mothers of Invention, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Big Star. With the Boxmasters’ music, there is a backbeat, with meaningful lyrics and music played with passion.
