Antelope Valley College will host a campuswide mental health awareness event on Thursday, May 14. The event offers free resources, activities and opportunities to connect with the community. Students, employees and community members are invited to attend. No registration is required. Attendees can explore community resource booths, enjoy free food, music and giveaways, and take part in wellness activities. Meditation and other guided experiences support relaxation and stress relief. The event is presented in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and co-hosted by AVC Student Health, Project Blue, and the departments of Guardian Scholars and NextUp. It aims to increase awareness, strengthen community connections, and improve access to mental health services in the Antelope Valley.
