The Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center (AVECC) is hosting a free household hazardous waste (HHW) and e-waste collection event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1200 W. City Ranch Road in Palmdale.
Residents can safely dispose of household chemicals, electronics, paint, batteries, cleaners, motor oil, pesticides, home-generated sharps waste, and other accepted materials. The center also includes a reuse area where residents may be able to take home partially used household, yard, or car-care products for free while supplies are available.
