Are you ready to be transported through history to a different time and place? “Letters to Harriet Tubman” is a captivating show that will take you on a journey through the adventures of the heroic woman who fought against slavery through the Underground Railroad. The play uses songs and stories from the Civil War era to bring Harriet Tubman’s incredible story to life. You’ll follow the two main characters, Harriet and her guitar-playing neighbor, Jeffrey Taylor, Jr., as they explore the history of the times, combined with lively period songs and African American spirituals, including “Go Down, Moses,” “Oh, Freedom” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” This inspiring tale of the difference that can be made through the strength and courage of one individual will leave you feeling hopeful, motivated, and inspired.

And that’s not all! Before the show, don’t forget to check out the fun and informative Black History Month activities in the lobby at 6 p.m. It’s the perfect way to get into the spirit of the occasion and learn something new.
