Strength meets fragility, growth meets decay, nature meets technology, and fantasy meets reality in Woven Stories, a collection of narrative fiber artworks featuring 5 site-specific installations, 5 solo exhibitions, and a group exhibition. In this show, artists explore themes of gender, ethnicity, shared and personal memory, and cultural detritus through traditional methods of weaving, sewing, crocheting, embroidering, assembling, and so much more. Woven Stories is a contemporary look at fiber art and the meaning behind its creation, use, and display in modern culture.
