Hey High Desert Homies — if you’ve been meaning to catch the magic under the Big Top, time is running out!

I hope the hills will soon start popping after this weekend’s rain — and trust us, you don’t want to miss it!

In the coming weeks, the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve should be showing off some of the brightest, boldest wildflowers of the season.

With eight miles of trails (including easy paved sections), it’s perfect for a weekday adventure when the crowds are thinner and the sunsets are unforgettable.

Local tip:
Bring layers — the spring breezes can surprise you! And don’t forget your camera — it’s prime Instagram season in the hills on the way out to the preserve.

Go stretch your legs, soak up the colors, and take a deep breath of that fresh desert bloom air.
