Hello Fellow Adventurers, Thomas here bringing you a new day trip idea. This week we are heading to the pristine mountains of Tehachapi to tackle another one of my favorite trails, The Tehachapi Mountain Trail.

Just an hour's drive from Palmdale, The Tehachapi Mountain Trail packs challenging terrain into 4.1 miles with nearly 1,700 ft of elevation gain. This well-maintained path delivers spectacular wilderness views throughout its steep ascents.

Post-hike, refuel at Red House BBQ for top-notch brisket and ribs, or visit Kohnen's Country Bakery for fresh sandwiches and pastries. Both satisfy even selective appetites.

This accessible day trip offers a refreshing change from desert scenery with its surprisingly lush landscape.
