DESCRIPTION:Join us for the City of Lancaster’s 2018 Martin Luther King\,
  Jr. Day of Service event on Saturday\, January 13th. The block party is 
 free and open to the community and will  feature games\, food\, live musi
 c and information on available resources.\n\nThis year’s Day of Service 
 marks the eleventh anniversary of residents coming together under the nati
 onal United We Serve initiative to donate their time and talents to buildi
 ng a stronger and healthier Lancaster.\n\nThis event is cause for celebrat
 ion and recognition of the Lancaster community sharing the core American v
 alue that Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. knew would unify our nation – vol
 unteer service.\n\nEach year\, the Martin Luther King\, Jr. Day of Service
  inspires residents to do extraordinary things for the community. It works
  as a powerful and unifying exercise which encourages others to help their
  neighbors\, participate in civic groups\, and donate to local charities.\
