DESCRIPTION:The City of Palmdale is helping residents stand united against 
 crime during its annual National Night Out event on Tuesday\, Aug. 5\, fro
 m 5-9 p.m. at Poncitlán Square\, located at 38315 9th St. East. This fami
 ly-friendly event is a community celebration where neighbors can connect w
 ith their local first responders who serve and protect their City every da
 y.\n\n“When residents and law enforcement come together in a positive en
 vironment\, we build the trust and partnerships that make our community sa
 fer and stronger\,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “Public safe
 ty is a shared responsibility and National Night Out helps to break down b
 arriers to create connections between neighbors and first responders.”\n
 \nAttendees will enjoy an up-close look at public safety in action with li
 ve equipment demos\, interactive displays and the chance to explore law en
 forcement and fire department vehicles. Residents can also chat with the e
 veryday heroes and community partners who serve the City of Palmdale.\n\nI
 n addition to safety-focused activities\, the event will feature games\, h
 ands-on experiences for all ages and food available for purchase\, making 
 it a memorable night for the whole family.\n\nNational Night Out is an ann
 ual\, nationwide community-building campaign that promotes police-communit
