DESCRIPTION:Alzheimer’s Los Angeles’s Caregiver Wellness Days provide f
 amily caregivers with a free day of rest\, relaxation\, and access to reso
 urces! Each event includes presentations\, workshops\, exhibitors\, and we
 llness activities.\n\nCaregiver Wellness Days were designed to provide a b
 rief respite from the full-time burden of caring for a person with Alzheim
 er’s or another dementia. The events rejuvenate and refresh family careg
 ivers while at the same time provide valuable educational information and 
 resources that can improve self-care\, caregiving\, and coping skills. Act
 ivities focus on relaxation training\, stress management\, and peer suppor
 t to help caregivers break the cycle of giving continuous care.\n\nCaregiv
 ing for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia is hard wor
 k. Caregivers are unsung heroes deserving of a special day to focus on the
 mselves.\n\nAttendance is free but registration is required.
